Basic Life Support (BLS)

It’s an Instructor led classroom course taught by American Heart Association certified Instructor by showing AHA BLS for provider video, using manikins and other necessary equipment’s required by AHA rules and regulations. After completion of the course work, each student must take and pass a written exam and skills test to be certified and receive the AHA BLS for provider card.

BLS - Course Covers:

  • Materials for both pre-hospital and in-facility providers.
  • Adult and Pediatric CPR with one and two-rescuer scenarios.
  • The AHA chain of survival for providers.
  • Use of the pocket mask and bag-valve mask ventilation on adults and pediatric victims.
  • Relief of choking on adult and pediatric victims who are conscious or unconscious with foreign-body airway obstruction.
  • Use of automated external defibrillation (AED) on pediatric and adult victims.
  • Teaches the importance of team dynamics.

BLS training is intended for providers who are medically licensed or non-licensed, certified or non-certified, any healthcare professionals or non-professionals including:

  • Doctors of all specialties.
  • Resident or Fellow Physicians of all specialties.
  • Physician’s assistant.
  • Nurse Practitioners.
  • Nurses.
  • Medical students.
  • Nursing students.
  • Paramedics.
  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).
  • All medical Therapists/Technicians.
  • Health aides, medical or nursing assistants, and other allied health personnel.
  • First responders (Police officers, Fire Fighters).
  • Those who are employees of School, Fitness Centers, Hotels, Restaurants, etc.
