Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid

It’s an Instructor led classroom course taught by American Heart Association certified Instructor by showing AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid for provider video, using manikins and other necessary equipment’s required by AHA rules and regulations. After completion of the course work, each student must take and pass the skills test to be certified and receive the AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid for provider card.

Heartsaver CPR/AED - Course Covers:

  • AHA chain of survival instructions.
  • One and multiple rescuer high quality CPR of adult and pediatric victims.
  • Ventilation techniques by mouth to mouth.
  • Ventilation techniques using personal protective mask and bag-valve mask.
  • Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) on all victims of cardiac emergency.
  • Technique to relief chocking on adult and pediatric victims with foreign body airway obstruction.

Heartsaver First Aid - Course Covers:

  • Basics of First Aid - including scene safety, finding the problem, and calling 911.
  • Initial management of medical emergencies such as choking, breathing problems, and shock.
  • Initial management of injury emergencies such as bleeding, broken bones, and burns.
  • Initial management of environmental emergencies such as animal or insect bites and stings, temperature-related heat or cold emergency and poison emergencies.
  • Use of an epinephrine pen.

HEARTSAVER CPR/AED course is intended for any lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members or any patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death.

HEARTSAVER First Aid course is intended for any lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members or any patients at high risk for sudden emergency issues (i.e. Heat Strokes, Frost Bites, Insect Bites, Cuts, Snake Attack, etc.).

Additionally, anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion AHA card in CPR and AED to meet the requirements of jobs or other regulatory services including:

  • Child care workers.
  • Fire Fighters.
  • Police Officers.
  • Soldiers.
  • Security Guards.
  • Airline Employees.
  • Instructors of Yoga/Gymnastics.
  • Fitness center trainers/Teachers/Any educators.
